Ebooks

An ebook is an electronic book that you can read on your computer, handheld or even phone. They usually come in one of three formats: PDF files (as created by Adobe Acrobat), Exe files (executable books), or Ebo files ( Microsoft Ebook format).

PDF files are the most widespread format as they are compatible with both Windows and Macintosh computers. . Exe are less popular as they are only compatible with Windows, and often exe files contain viruses. Although they do let you have another level of control, with the ability to apply passwords to ebooks, to ensure they cannot be given away to others.

Ebooks are extremely popular products for sale on the internet as they don't involve delivery costs. Heaps of so-called gurus boast about how they quickly wrote an ebook and then made thousands of dollars selling it online.

And if they aren't selling you an ebook, they're giving you some for free, so that you will join their mailing list.

Ebooks are often used in viral advertising, as a free giveaway. Webmasters and list owners are always looking for free things to give to their list. So someone who writes an ebook, and allows free resale rights, will see their ebook (with personal affiliate links ebedded) circulating through major lists, and their reputation and profile growing quickly. It's a great way to make an impact on the internet.

CutePDF is a great free program that converts documents into PDF format.
